Our Internationality
 | | My time in Uganda, and previously in South Africa, heightened my awareness of justice issues and the urgent need for fair trade. These experiences led to my present work with Traidcraft.

| | It’s taken me a life-time to comprehend the fact that people in my community don’t really know my background or ‘where I come from’, but also that I don’t really know their background either. And yet, without family ties, we have something deeply in common with a shared understanding, background and tradition. This is really powerful and appreciation of it has grown with the years.

| The possibility of visiting other communities and countries has reinforced in me the urgency to work for Justice and Peace It faced me with obvious global inequality and structural injustices. Keeping in touch with world news is a necessity now as it is so much more relevant and personal.
