Jubilee Vows 2010 Archive

In 2010 we celebrated a number of Anniversaries of final and first vows. Usually Final profession takes place in Rome and each group is given a name which sums up the experience of the months of preparation before final profession and also words which will be inspiration for the years ahead.....

On 25th January we celebrated 40 years Final Profession of Sisters Doreen Bell, Lorna Brockett, Mary Hinde, Trudie Hunter and Stella White.
'Life according to the Spirit' is their name, and 'I have consecrated you and sent you to preach good news to the poor.'

On 9th February Sister April O'Leary celebrated 55 years since Final Profession.
'The Whole Offering' is her name and 'because of love.'

On 14 February Sister Dorothy Bell celebrated 60 years since First Vows.
'Love is His meaning'

On 19th February Sister Sheila McNamara celebrated 5 years since Final Profession.
The name of her group is 'Passion for Christ, passion for humanity.' and the scripture which inspired them is from the Song of Songs, 'Show me your face, let me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet and your face is beautiful'

 

March 15th Sister Joan Scott and Sister Mary Coke, 60 years since First Vows.
’ask for nothing and refuse nothing’

March 25th Sister Norah Lester and Sister Freda Parkinson, 50 years since first vows

March 27th Sister Meg Walshe, 45 years since first vows

March 30th Sister Frances Makower, Sister Margaret Nourse and Sister Lorraine Pratt, 40 years since first vows
‘Into the hands of Him who is the way itself, truth itself and life itself’

Sister Stephanie Romaine, 40 years since first vows
‘be still and know that I am God’

April 10th Sister Marion Charley. 45 years since first vows.

June 20th Sister Teresa Ryden 6 yrs since final profession.
Name of group 'The compassionate Heart of Jesus'
Motto 'Lord by your cross and resurrection you have set us free, you are the saviour of the world'

June 22nd Sister Silvana Dallanegra 7yrs since final profession
Name of group ' The open and welcoming Heart of Jesus'
Motto...'Through His wounds we are healed'

July 1st Sister Josephine Heywood 70 years since first vows

July 20th Sister Diana Young 50 years since final profession, the name of her group is 'The universal love of the Heart of Jesus' and their motto is 'the love of Christ impels us'

July 23rd Sister Catherine Swan 45 years since first vows

July 24th Sister Pat Murphy and Sister Anne McCarthy 45 years since first vows

August 2nd Sister Stephanie Romaine and Sister Mon McGreal, 35 years since final profession. The name of their group is 'The good news of the kingdom' and their motto is 'I praise you Father because you have revealed these things to the poor and have hidden them from the wise and prudent. 15th September Sister Judith Heywood will be 60 years since first vows and Sister Elizabeth Grantham and Sister Rachel Standish 55 years since First Vows

21 November 2010 Sister Lorraine Pratt will be 35 years since final profession. The name of her group is 'Body of Christ' and her motto is 'One heart and one mind in the Heart of Jesus'

3 December 2010 Sister Prue Wilson, 65 years since first vows: Sister Mon Barudi, 55 years since first vows; Sister Frances Lynch, 55 years since first vows.

27 December 2010 Sister Elizabeth Basset, 75 years since first vows; Sister Lucia Park, 45 years since first vows
