This year we are celebrating a number of Anniversaries of final and first vows. Usually Final profession takes place in Rome and each group is given a name which sums up the experience of the months of preparation before final profession and also words which will be inspiration for the years ahead.....

The name of her group is 'The compassion of the Heart Of Jesus' and their motto is 'Love one another as I have loved you' 13th January 2011, Sister Susan Acheson, 20 years since final profession. The name of her group is 'Magnificat' and their motto is 'Blessed are you because you have believed' February 2nd 2011 Sister Barbara Sweeney celebrates 38 years since final profession. The name of Barbara's group is 'Experience of Faith' and their motto is 'You being strengthened in faith, go now and strengthen your brothers'. Sister Josephine Heywood celebrates 65 years since final profession. Posted on 2 February 2011 - Josephine died this weekend and we rejoice that she celebrates her Jubilee in heaven with the Lord who was the centre of her life. 4th February Special congratulations to Sister Rachel Standish it is 50 years since her final profession.  The name of her group is'The chivalrous service of the Lord' and their motto is 'Where I am you will be'  ' 5th February Sister Norah Lester celebrates 45 years since final profession.The name of Norah's group is 'Fidelity to the Holy Spirit' and their motto is 'the Love of God has been poured into our hearts.' 10th February Sisters Dorothy Bell, Joan Scott and Judith Heywood celebrate 55 years since final profession. The name of thir group is 'Faith in Love' and their motto is 'My Heart is yours, take it' ...Read more about Dorothy 14th February Sisters Maureen Cunnion and Carol Condon celebrate 40 years since first vows. 6th March Sister Frances Makower will celebrate 35years since her final profession. 12th March Sister Mary Gennery celebrates 45 years since her final profession 15th March Sister Mary Barrow celebrates 55 years since her first first vows. April 21st Sister Margaret Wilson celebrates 30 years since her final profession. The name of Margaret's group is 'The compassion of the Heart of Christ' and her devise is 'Love one another as I have loved you' Margaret says 'It is a name and devise that has deepened over the years and calls me to go and open my heart daily' April 23rd Sisters Jane Maltby and Elizabeth Smith celebrate 45 years since first vows May 31st. Sister Christine Edwards celebrates 30 years since her final profession. The name of her group is 'Rooted in Christ'.
