The demands of daily life can make it hard to set aside time to think about our lives and our relationship with God. A retreat is an extended period of quiet prayer and reflection which can last a few days or longer. In the quiet time of a retreat we can be helped to become aware of our feelings, moods and inner reactions so that we can get in touch with what we really desire from God and

| what God might desire for us. The weekend at Llannerchwen is intended for people who wish to deepen their awareness of God but who may have little experience of a silent retreat or who may wish to have a 'taster' before they commit to a longer retreat time. It is an opportunity for space to relax and be with God and to reflect on your life in the light of the Scriptures and other resources. Each day there will be an opportunity to meet with a retreat guide, who will accompany you through the weekend helping you reflect on the experience of meeting God. Apart from time with your retreat guide, we ask each person to keep silence over the weekend. Silence is a way of respecting the 'sacred space' of each other, enabling one another to discover what God might be saying to us in our own time and at our own pace. | | | Facilities There is a simple prayer space (chapel), an extensive garden and plenty of opportunity for walks in the surrounding area. Llannerchwen also has a creative arts cabin. You can use the materials there or take them back to your own room. Accommodation is in individual hermitages, or in a small cottage or bungalow. Meals are provided but eaten alone with the exception of the evening meal on Friday and lunch on Sunday when we will eat together.
